You feel called to Africa but need a trusted way to begin

Coming to Kenya can be exciting and meaningful, but it can also feel unfamiliar. You may be wondering where to stay, who to trust, and how to prepare well for a new culture. You do not have to figure it out alone.

Gateway Africa gives you a soft landing through trusted local relationships, practical guidance, and culturally honoring support, so you can arrive with greater peace and confidence.

How we walk beside you

We begin by listening to where you are, what is drawing you to Kenya, and what kind of support would help you arrive well. From there, we help you navigate your next steps through trusted local relationships and thoughtful preparation, so the journey feels personal rather than transactional.

Meet Rachel

Hi, I’m Rachel Castille, founder of Gateway Africa. I’m an American living in Nairobi, Kenya, and I understand both the excitement and uncertainty that can come with entering a new country, culture, and assignment. Gateway Africa was born from a desire to help people land with clarity, honor, safety, and trusted relationships, beginning here in Kenya.

The Bigger Vision

Gateway Africa is beginning in Kenya, but the larger vision is a trusted network of relationships across Africa, supporting hospitality, relocation, marketplace connection, partnership, and belonging. We are building slowly, prayerfully, and with people of integrity.

Questions Before You Book

Is this the right fit?

Gateway Africa is for travelers, families, entrepreneurs, ministers, business builders, and visionaries who want to enter Kenya through trusted relationships, local context, and thoughtful support.

Is this only for those moving?

Not at all. Gateway Africa supports people visiting, relocating, serving, building, or exploring what may be next in Kenya. We can help you discern the right starting point for your season.

Do you handle the bookings for me?

Gateway Africa is not a traditional travel agency. We connect you with trusted local providers and help coordinate your preparation, while bookings and third-party services are handled directly with those providers.

What does the coordination fee cover?

The $300 USD fee covers our guidance, planning, and coordination support. Vendor costs, housing, meals, transportation, activities, and third-party services are paid separately to the providers.

Can I start with just a talk?

Yes. Many people begin with a Consultation to get clarity, ask questions, and understand their options. From there, we can decide together whether coordination is the right next step.

Is this only for Kenya?

For now, our services are focused on Kenya, with Nairobi as our home base. The larger vision is to build trusted relationship networks and soft landings across Africa over time.

When should we start?

It is best to reach out 4 - 6 weeks before you plan to arrive. If your timeline is shorter, still reach out and we will let you know what support is possible.

Start your journey with trusted support

You do not have to enter Kenya alone. Begin with the starting point that fits your needs and prepare through trusted relationships, local context, and support that helps you arrive well.
